Weekend Fun!

We the People Fourth of July Parade. Music from booming bands, happy clowns, waving flags, and cheering crowds make this a great celebration. The parade begins at 11am in downtown Boise, for route and details visit www.libertydayparade.com.

Gem State Kiwanis Fourth of July Celebration. Pancake breakfast, entertainment, and more. 11am, Julia Davis Park.

Fireworks Over Boise. Presented by Today’s Channel 6, The Idaho Statesman, and the City of Boise. Launching from Ann Morrison Park at dusk, www.cityofboise.org.

Meridian Family 4th of July. Join the family fun with live music, activities, and a fireworks display. 7pm- dusk, Storey Park in Meridian, www.cityofmeridian.org.

4th of July Celebration. Caldwell Memorial Park is the center for many events; parade at 10am, car show, entertainment, patriotic bike contest, patriotic dog contest, food vendors, youth games and activities, and more. A big celebration with a small-town atmosphere, culminating with a fireworks display from Simplot Stadium. www.visitcaldwell.org, 455-3011.

Middleton 4th of July Celebration. A fun-filled family celebration with music, parade, vendors, ending with a spectacular fireworks display. For a schedule and information visit, www.middletonchamber.org.

4th of July Family Fun Day. Spend the day stepping back in time: parade at noon, games, food and family fun until 4pm, and fireworks around 10pm. John Brogan Park, Visitor Center, and the streets of Idaho City, www.idahocitychamber.com.

Boise Hawks Baseball. Family fun, 7:35pm, Hawks Stadium. www.boisehawks.com, 322-5000. Fireworks to follow the game.

Arts For Kids. Free 45-minute hands-on workshops facilitated by professional artists for children ages 3 to 12. Registration is walk-up, classes are offered at 10am, 11am, and noon, near the Grove Plaza behind Brick Oven Bistro, 433-5675.
